Summary:	No TOC/Chapter Markers When Downloading From FF.net With App
Description:	Previously, I used to use the online version to download fics from FF.net. Since their latest captcha update, the webversion hasn't been working, so I've been using the app, version 0.9.5. The fics downloaded using the webversion had all their chapters marked. I could skip forward and back by chapter, and there was an auto-generated table of contents. The ones downloaded with the standalone app, however, all show up as having just one big chapter. (Avery chapter of the fic is *there*, and there is a page-break between each chapter and the next, but they are not marked as separate chapter in whatever way Kindle requires.)

Additional Information:	Me descargo el documento y cuando se descarga hasta el 100% le falta del capítulo 20 hasta el 36. Y a veces se cierra al llegar hasta el 97% y el documento HTML queda abierto y bloqueado. Espero que lo arreglen pronto. This feature would add the first and/or the last chapter downloaded so that when breaking up a story into smaller segments chapter numbers would be added automatically to the filename. Results: less chapter might be blank but other chapters than the initial ones can be missed. I'm not bored, I'm trying to rebuild my library after my laptop and backup were stolen. Noticing the incomplete downloads just pulverized many hours of work. I would honestly appreciate an update of the site even if it's just to say further development is not going to happen. Thank you. Description:	After snatching a story from fanfiction net, some of the chapters will have a Chapter heading but no text. Other chapters are fine. I've tested this with mobi and txt versions

Steps To Reproduce:	I'll highlight the first chapter address on the microsoft edge browser which will fill in the Storylink bar. Click 'check and download'. Wait patiently while occasionally telling it I'm not a bot. The problem is only apparent after transferring the file to my kindle, where some chapters are perfect and others are blank with only a Chapter heading.

Summary:	Something going wrong on stories with around 200+ chapters
Description:	I have been using the program to grab this fic: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13931794/ each time it updates. Around when the fic hit 197 chapters (I'm not sure of the exact value, because a few chapters were released in quick succession), although the program seems to download successfully, every chapter is blank. This has consistently occurred for the past several days since the fic reached that length. I was previously using a static delay setting of 10 and a Dynamic delay setting of 10. I tried raising both to the maximum value, which did not help. Is it possible that there is some action the program is taking that is not subject to the delay function, that is triggering ff.net above a certain chapter count?

Description:	Attempting to download fics with 20 or more chapters, with output from Dokument (.rtf), results in random application crashing after saving the file. While the Application crash does not always occur, the saved file is not complete. When opening the file, the first 20 chapters are there as expected; however the even of the file shows only the chapter numbers and headings (without the chapter text).

Description:	Hi! For some days now I am unable to successfully download stories longer then 10-15 chapters. At the latest after chapter 20 the pages are empty, if there even is destination file. And always ffd just disappears after that. I tried MOBI and EPUB as destination formats and also reinstalling ffd. Also trying different settings for Delay and Dynamic Delay didn´t help. (0000101) SpaceMuffin    2022-04-07 04:19	I can reproduce this consistently, and after some testing it looks like fanfiction.net now has a lower tolerance for short delays when scraping 20+ chapters. Windows 10 21H2, FFDL 0.94. First failure today, last used March 10th (successfully). Settings at 1 second delay, 0 dynamic delay, which has worked for the 6 months since I initially discovered FFDL. HTML output consistently contains exactly 19 full chapters, and then only chapter titles for the rest of the work. During export to PDF, FFDL crashes; the PDF is generated and matches HTML content, but the source HTML is not deleted despite that option being checked. If I "back off" the settings to 5 second delay, 5 second dynamic delay, I get a full download, successful conversion to PDF, and HTML cleanup (i.e. normal operation). 5 second delay, 0 dynamic delay also results in normal operation. 3 second delay, 0 dynamic delay also results in normal operation. I'm pretty sure the FFDL default is 5/0 seconds and I turned it down to 1/0 myself, so I'll chalk this up to user error.

Sometimes it will go right through, other times crash somewhere in the middle. In that case, I re-launch the app and feed it URLs one at a time. It will still crash often, and I have to re-try several times before it goes through. In my case, it occurs irrespective of the number of chapters. I am downloading from fanfiction.net also, but using Windows 7.1 fanfic version 9.4. I tried launching as admin, and am still having crashes.

Description:	The version is 0.9.4 The program seems to stop downloading chapters after the 20 something, it doesn't matter what output file do you choose, it doesn't download the whole story. It just grab the title of the chapters without any content on it. After it supposed to finish, it send a crash alert and closes the application. This have been happen for a few days, I reinstalled but it isn't working. I love this tool and only recently I have used it on Mac, but it hasn't had any issues until now. I hope it can be resolve soon. Thanks.

(0000094) NyxyN    2022-02-19 15:21	I was about to request this as well. some stories have amazing Author notes and when using FFDL, downloading from Ao3 the notes don't carry over and I would really like them to. currently, the notes on fanfiction do carry over but I much prefer the formatting and tags of Ao3 and so also having the notes download from there as well would be amazing, also for all the stories that aren't cross-posted to multiple sites and I need to go chapter by chapter online to view the notes instead would be extremely welcome as I prefer to download and read offline.

(0000087) Meinia    2021-01-09 11:24	Hi, I have downloaded version 0.9.4 but the issue is still appearing. i have: 1. Uninstalled 0.9.3 2. Use CCleaner to clear any leftover register 3. Delete and leftover FanfictionDownloader file\ 4. Restart the laptop. 5. Disable avast anti-virus 6. DEP disabled except for Windows program 7. Download 0.9.4. Right-click > Property and ensure security did not block it 8. Right-click on the setup and run as Admin 9. After installation is completed, I went to firewall and added FanfictionDownloader.exe and QTProcess.exe to allow connect in both inbound and outbound. 10. Avast is still disabled. Event Viewer shows no errors or warning from the time I open the FanfictionDownloader 0.9.4 until I select "Check and Download" even after refreshing the Event Viewer a couple of time. Waited for 30 minutes after pressing "Check and Download"   Is there any other place I can look for errors? Or is there a windows update that is needed? Summary:	(0.9.2) Long fics get cut off
Description:	Fics with many chapters have their latter portions of chapters cut off (after a point, each chapter downloads as the chapter heading and a blank page). I have a feeling that it is looking for rapid requests in sequence and blocking them after some threshold is reached. Could an option to pull longer fics slowly prevent this from happening? I'd happily live with waiting several minutes for a long fic to download in exchange for it getting there eventually :)

(0000062) Raimond    2020-12-23 19:50	Hi, this behaviour is caused by the cloudflare Captcha page. Somewhere in the middle of downloading the story, the captcha page appears and is of course not solved. So no further chapters are downloaded. Not sure if it'll help if I just add a Sleep of maybe 5 sec between chapters, I need to test this. Cloudflare adds a multiple second delay to check if you are human. that'S why it takes longer if it's working compared to being faster if you are stuck at the error-page If this won't solve the issue then I'm going for plan B: It'll just stop downloading when a captcha page appears, Show you the page to resolve the captcha and continue after you've confirmed that the chapter is now visible. Simple in theory But the internal structure of FFDL is not prepared for that so it'll take some time. But with this approach FFDL will behave like any human controlled browser. I hope you are able to survive for now with retrying some downloads, I'm working on the issue

Works fine in my tests, sending it currently to an user for testing (Thanks Mike). I'm also playing with a delay between the individual chapters to reduce the amout of captchas that pop up. Testing these features is very difficult for me since it seems that my IP is very much trusted, so it nearly never comes up for me

Description:	I've been having this problem for quite some time now. Whenever I download stories from FF.Net certain data are missing and a specific one is always wrong. The incorrect data is the language. I do not know why, but all stories are set as "deutsch" (German) regardless of whether the stories are written in German, English or any other language. The "Last updated" data is always missing for some reason. Moreover, if the downloaded stories are a crossover, the "Category" is often missing as well.

Description:	I noticed that sometime between March 21 and March 29 (2019), FF_net must have changed something, because any stories I've downloaded (using FFDL) since then no longer show the "updated date" Obviosly it's not critical, but it can be frustrating for those times when an author makes changes to an existing story (without adding any more chapters) that it will then overwrite the older version since I had been using the %d filenamepattern to help me differnetiate between released versions of a story (fanfic). One thing I did notice when preparing this information is that if I click the "Check" and then the "Download fanfiction" button, instead of the "Check & Download" button, it will actually ask me if I want to overwrite the file(s), but why do something in two clicks, when you can do it in one, so… Frank

Du könntest testweise einmal einen Rechtsklick auf FFDL machen und dann "Als Administrator ausführen" auswählen. Summary:	Making folders for the story and allowing it to have multiple chapters that can be read like it is from a site.
Description:	A few years back I used another program called Graffer and it would download the story, in .html format, into multiple chapters into it's own folder. Included was an index you could access which listed the Chapters, and the story summary with a word count. It also allowed the user to read the story like they would on ff,net chapter by chapter just by hitting next or back. It would be nice to see this feature included in future versions. It makes a story easier to read when it broken down into chapters, especially stories with several hundred thousand or a million words. I know this version has an option to break a story down into chapter but not to be able to flip back and forth between them easily.

Description:	I wasn't having this issue until tonight and I was using the previous version of FanfictionDownloader 0.8.15 when it suddenly stopped letting download from the site. I updated to the newer version and am still having the same problem.

Summary:	It would be good to have a method of indicating when FFDL has completed a long download/conversion
Description:	I tend to prefer long stories, and because I don't always have internet access, I use this great program to download them as EPUB's. Most of the stories I download are relatively short. But at least a dozen or more of my regular stories are very long, 600 chapters or more. As such, it's very inconvenient to just sit and watch FFDL slowly work it's way through in order to know when to do the next fanfic. Therefore, I wish there was an option built into FFDL that would beep or make some noise when it completed the conversion. Perhaps you could put it as an option on the CONFIGURATION screen so that users could A) Indicate if they want it or not, and B) If they do, it would beep a nose after 'X' minutes or 'YYY' seconds. For me, I'd probably set it for a 2-3 minute duration. Anything less than that and I'd already have my eye on it, but for anything more, I'd like to be able to do other things while I'm waiting and then return to FFDL when it's completed the conversion.

Um es kurz zu machen : Es ist ein verborgener Rechner einer Internet-Abteilung in einer Cherry-Spielothek. Technische Auskünfte werden vom Personal aber leider nicht erteilt. Es läuft allerdings ein vollständiges 64-bit Windows 7 darauf. Die Einschränkungen sind marginal. Es kann sogar Software nachinstalliert werden. Ja, es ist in der Tat seltsam. Denn alles andere läuft. Vielleicht ist doch ein Netzwerk Problem. Netfilter.dll klingt nach einer Protektion gegen P2P o. ä. Möglicher Weise stürzt FFDL nicht ab, sondern wird wegen unerwünschter Netzwerkzugriffe einfach gekillt. Dann ist guter Rat teuer (von Paste'n'Copy einmal abgesehen), denn FicSave ist auch nicht mehr der Wahrheit letzter Schluß. Dennoch : ich würde die Vorab-Version gerne einmal als .exe ausprobieren.
