A temporary fix I discovered is to launch the program in Administrator mode

I have also been having this problem. Typically, I use read -from-list, using a list that is typically 3-12 lines long. Sometimes it will go right through, other times crash somewhere in the middle. In that case, I re-launch the app and feed it URLs one at a time. It will still crash often, and I have to re-try several times before it goes through. In my case, it occurs irrespective of the number of chapters. I am downloading from fanfiction.net also, but using Windows 7.1 fanfic version 9.4. I tried launching as admin, and am still having crashes.
